Partner of Advanced Logistics Group (ALG) and Head of Indra Business Consulting’s (IBC) Middle East office. ALG is the transportation, infrastructure and logistics division of IBC, Indra’s management consulting firm. In 2008, Mr. Ruiz was relocated to the UAE to establish ALG’s Middle East practice from scratch. The region was completely virgin territory for the company. In 2017, the Dubai office generated revenues of more than USD 3 million, building on the momentum of 100% revenue growth for the previous years and reaching 20 professionals in the Dubai office.
In the last years, ALG has created – from zero previous contact - strong commercial relationships with many of the most relevant players in the region. Over 70% of our revenue comes from repeat clients. Our clients include SABIC, Ma’aden, ARASCO, MODON, ADPC, AD Terminals, DP World, Gulftainer, Port of Fujairah, RAK Ports, Etihad Rail, SAR, ADNOC, ADMA, ZADCO, ADGAS, OOMCO, Al Ghurair Foods and Nadec.
Mr. Ruiz has directed a large number of consulting projects involving transport infrastructure developments especially related to maritime and ports, airports and supply chain sectors all around the world: Europe (UK, France, Italy, Sweden, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal...), America (USA, Brazil, Venezuela, Peru, Panama…), Africa (Kenya, Morocco, Egypt, Ethiopia…), Asia (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, India, Bangladesh, China, Vietnam…). At the same time, he has been directly involved in all sorts of supply chain projects, including the definition of the supply chain strategy, logistics footprint and distribution model for several fertilizer companies in the MENA region.
